About the foundation

The Rocky Mountain Youth Leadership Foundation (RMYLF) was incorporated in 1990 as a Colorado nonprofit foundation and was granted 501(c)(3) IRS status. Its mission is to conduct an annual leadership conference where rising high school seniors develop youth leadership skills and to educate attendees in patriotism and the free enterprise system of America.

History

The Rocky Mountain Youth Leadership Foundation is organized as an IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit, incorporated in the State of Colorado. The Foundation is governed by a registered set of Bylaws and Policies which define the Board of Directors and the directives by which Foundation business is conducted.

The Foundation is sponsored, in part, by the Military Order of the World Wars (MOWW) and has the mission of: Building Informed Citizen Leaders. In performance of this mission, the Foundation plans, prepares, operates, and continuously improves the Rocky Mountain Youth Leadership Conference, every year in the last week of June. The Conference is the sole product of the Foundation and all income derived by the Foundation is expended on the Conference.

The Rocky Mountain Youth Leadership Foundation Board of Directors is organized as shown in the graphic below. The Board of Directors provides direction to the Foundation. All positions on the Foundation are volunteer—the Foundation has no paid positions.
